A Bottle of Yellow Gobies

Yellow gobies peer from the neck of their bottle home.

Yellow Pygmy Gobies often make their homes in bottles. For the gobies, wine bottles are spacious, secure, with a well-sized entry. Yellow gobies (Lubricogobius exiguus) often (or maybe always) live in pairs. I was honored when both came to their front door when I showed up. One left shortly after, apparently happy to let their partner handle the unexpected caller.
